چکیده :

Infertility is a problem that exerts considerable challenges on every society across the world and is associated with various psychosocial consequences. The pathology of infertile spouses indicates that cognitive problems including stress, anxiety and depression are among the main issues of infertile couples. In addition, the major problem of such couples within their interpersonal relationships (relationship of couples with each other) include decreased marital satisfaction, decreased marital adjustment, reduced sexual satisfaction, increased marital conflict and fear of divorce, feelings of lack of marital identity completion, feelings of lack of parental role, excessive preoccupation towards infertility, disagreement over initiation and continuation of infertility treatment and inability to accept childless styles. The purpose of this study was to provide a comparison between fertile and infertile women in terms of psychological reactions (depression, stress, and anxiety) and life satisfaction in Zahedan. The causal-comparative method was implemented. The sample consisted of 160 available infertile and fertile women (80 fertile and 80 infertile). Two questionnaires including DASS21 and life satisfaction were conducted. Data were analysed using t- test. The results indicated that there was a significant difference between fertile and infertile women’s stress, anxiety and depression and life satisfaction at the 0.05 level.
