چکیده :

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was in charge of the Islamic Republic of Iran's 9th and 10th governments. Having taken over the administration in 2005, he based the horizons of his domestic and foreign policy upon resurrecting the Islamic Revolution's standards. In general, Ahmadinejad used to have a cynical view against Western countries, particularly the U.S. Such a view can be sought in the framework of actualizing the Revolution as well as the slogan of "Neither West nor East" at the beginning of the Revolution which, according to most of Iranian policymakers, were both in contrast to the U.S. policy. Whether in his speeches in the General Assembly or in his interviews during that period, Ahmadinejad used to talk about the destruction of world powers and their agents. However, his views underwent some changes about two years after taking over the administration (the 10th administration) for the second time. During the 10th administration, Ahmadinejad interpreted the Islamic Republic of Iran's contrast-based view towards the U.S. as an understanding-based view and sought interaction with the U.S. in his talks. Thus, the main question in this research study was that "What changes did Ahmadinejad's foreign policy towards the U.S. undergo during 2005 to 2013?" The main hypothesis of this study was that "Ahmadinejad's foreign policy toward the U.S. fluctuated during 2005 to 2013 and distanced from hostile positions during his latter working period (the last two years). The researchers have based the theoretical framework of the study on Constructivism
