چکیده :

Introduction: bullying is misuse of social interaction among peers, which can include rape, harassment and aggres-sion. Objective: The current article mainly intends is to shed light on the impact of emotional intelligence training on bullying, victimization and social competence of male students in the fourth grade of elementary school (sec-ond round). Methodology: The research was carried out in an experimental-field manner or pre- and post-test design with control group on a population of students. In this study, training of the components of emotional in-telligence was performed in 10 sessions of 45 minutes based on Goleman's model, in a group-based form, and two sessions per week for the experimental group. The sampling was performed in a manner that, first, two boys ele-mentary school were selected randomly and in a multi-stage form, and then in each school, two classes (fourth grade) and from each class 10 students, 20 students from the experimental group and 20 from the control were randomly selected, and they were matched based on some factors such as age, educational grade, gender, social and economic status. To measure the variables of the current research, Olweus Bullying Questionnaire and Social Competence Questionnaire were completed by students as pre- and post-test. The results were analyzed using statistical multivariate covariance method (MONCOVA). Results: The results showed that emotional intelligence training reduces bullying and victimization behaviors and increase social competence. Conclusion: These findings confirmed the importance of applying emotional intelligence training to improve social competencies and to re-duce bullying and victimization.
