The Investigation of the Relationship among the Relationship among the Intellectual Capital the Competitive Advantage

Abstract The present research was conducted to investigate the relationship among the components of intellectual capital with the competitive advantage between the state banks and the private banks in Sistan and Baluchestan province. To investigate this relationship, six hypotheses were put forward. To test the hypotheses, a questionnaire including 32 questions was designed. Cronbach alpha coefficient for the latent variations was satisfactory. Then a questionnaire was distributed among employees of four state banks and three private banks. After analyzing the questionnaires using the hypotheses and the relationship among variations were tested. The results showed that all hypotheses and the relationship among variations were significant. However, the components of intellectual capital including human, customer and structural capital and competitive advantage in private banks were in a better position in comparison with state banks. Considering the components of intellectual capital, human capital in private banks and customer capital in state banks had a stronger tie with competitive advantage. At last, some suggestions were offered to strengthen the components of intellectual capital both in state banks and private banks.
