A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON FISH INFECTION WITH Diplostomum spathaseum Rudolphi, 1819 IN SEFID-RUD RIVER AND HESHMAT-RUD RIVER GUILAN PROVINCE, ASTANEYEH ASHRAFIYEH

A present survey has been done on eye parasite infection of Diplostomum spathaseum in two different river locations: Sefid-rud river and Heshmat-rud river in Cyprinus carpio during 2007-2008 year. For this investigation to comparative study on Cyprinus carpio in Sefid-rud river and Heshmat-rud river, the fishes samples 95 pieces (50 male and 45 female) in sefid-rud river location, and 60 pieces (35 male and 25 female) by variation tools of catching and by helping the fiberglass tassing–Tub, were cached and removed to the laboratory as alive, and it was studied in laboratory, and was recognized this parasite by creditable recognition keys (Moravec, 1994). Statistics were performed by using SPSS.10.0.5, Excel package and used a nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis and X2 tests. Prevalence rate and mean intensity ± standard deviation were measured and according to results revealed that the prevalence and intensity of this parasite in Heshmat-rud river location significantly different where more than in Sefid-rud river location (p<0/01). The prevalence and intensity of this parasite in females where more than males and a direct relation was found between parasite and size of fish (p<0/05). So according to statistics study, there was reciprocal connection with the infection and pollution rate of fish, sexuality and seasons.
