چکیده :

Introduction: blood donation, at the same time that promote the revitalization of the receiver, because the risk of transmission of blood-transmitted infections through blood is one of the challenges consumer service. Blood-borne diseases is of great importance in blood transfusion centers around the world are. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the prevalence of blood-borne viral infection in blood donors was performed. Methods: This study is a review article by surveying numerous articles of databases and scientific sites Google scholar, magiran, Embase, Sid, PubMed and iranmedex by keywords blood donation, blood-borne virus, needlestick injuries, and prevalence was conducted during 1997 and 2016. Results: The results showed that a large number of confirmatory tests after suffering a blood-borne infections, including hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.In most people by damaging the hollow needle and angiocath. 83.9% of injuries were to the hands. The most damage was in the group of nurses that up to 82%. Up to 97 percent had a history of hepatitis B vaccine. More than 40 years of age, low education level of education, marital status and the prevalence of hepatitis B more significant relationship was obtained. Conclusion: It is recommended that nurses are the highest percentage of people with viral infections, behave more standard precautions. Viral hepatitis vaccination in health care workers is completed. Donor’s also proper education of viral diseases and conditions, blood donation, blood donation behavior in order to promote donation, the solution is to reduce viral infection.
