چکیده :

Background: Job-related musculoskeletal disorders are one of the important occupational problems. Compared to other occupations, medical staff and internship students are at a high risk for musculoskeletal disorders. This study investigated the muscular pains and its related factors in nursing and midwifery students of Dezful University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed using census method on 130 nursing students and operating rooms of Dezful University of Medical Sciences. The data gathering tool was a demographic questionnaire and Nordic muscular pain (NMQ). SPSS-20 software was used to analyze the data. Chi-square and independent T-test were used. Results: Of the subjects, 85 (65.4%) were male and the rest were girls, 96 (83.8%) were nursing and the rest were operating rooms. There was no statistically significant relationship between gender and neck, shoulder and knee pain in the last 12 months (P> 0.05). There was a significant correlation between back pain and gender (P = 0.03). No significant relationship was found between the field of study and shoulder, back and knee pain in the last 7 days (P> 0.05). There was a significant relationship between the prevalence of hand and shoulder pain in the last 7 days (P = 0.02). Conclusions: Although there is no significant relationship between the majority of muscle pain factors in the trainees and the demographic variables, it is recommended that this study be done on a larger student population and at different universities.
