چکیده :

A mast cell is a resident cell of several types of tissues and contains many granules rich in histamine and heparin. Although best known for their role in allergy and anaphylaxis, mast cells play an important protective role as well, being intimately involved in wound healing and defense against pathogens. The mast cells were mostly located in the connective tissue of the interglandular region of tunica mucosa, tunica submucosa, where mostly distributed at the periphery and inside of the lymph nodules, in the T. muscularis and T. serosa. The samples of jejunum were obtained from Urmia industrial Slaughterhouse. The specimens were processed through routine paraffin embedding and stained with Toluidine blue. Mast cells were count by using optical microscopy grid and using cell-count instrument. The data were subjected to statistical analysis by usingSPSS computer software and ANOVA test. Statistical analyses revealed that, the mean of mast cells at 0.25 mm2surface units of the jejunumis 123.44±37.67. Also there is significant differences (P<0.001) in the distribution of mastcells between the Anterior, Middleand Posterior part of the jejunum; their distribution was higher in the middle part than in the other region (F=12.02 and P=0.00). There is significant differences (P<0.001) exist between different buffaloes (F=2.68 and P=0.018).
