The National Museum of Iran is a collection of treasures of historical and prehistoric works of Iran, located in Tehran. The museum consists of two separate buildings called the Museum of Ancient Iran with the opening date of 1318. The National Museum of Iran is the most important museum in Iran for the maintenance, display and research of Iranian archeological collections. The breadth and variety of the collection of objects in the museum is based on the geographical extent of the country and many prehistoric, historical, and Islamic periods in which man lived in this land and works from his own. The National Museum is currently displaying works that reflect the richness of culture and civilization, arts, economic growth and the achievements of Iranian technology. The National Museum of Iran, about 60 years old, is not only the largest archaeological and historical museum in Iran, but also it is considered to be the Mother's Art Museum in Iran. Dr. Gibreel is now the director of the museum.
