Impact of Tourism Industry in Historical Textures, Case Study: Masuleh Historical City

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of tourism industry in historical textures of Masuleh historical city. According to research subject which investigates the relationship between the tourism industry and historical textures of Masuleh city, this research has correlative type. Furthermore, this research is cross sectional in terms of time and micro according to the space and applied based on the nature. Data is collected through both library and field study methods. The studied population consists of the experts in Organization of Cultural Heritage as well as the experts on natural resources and tourism and the experts on comprehensive city plan. The sample size is estimated equal to 160 according to Cochran formula. The descriptive statistics section investigates the impact of tourism industry on economic prosperity, reconstruction and development, environmental issues and preservation of historical textures using the structural equations. The results indicate that the impact factor of tourism industry is equal to 0.94 for economic prosperity, 0.79 for reconstruction, 0.89 for environment, and 0.68 for preservation of historical texture in Masuleh City.
