A survey on the relationship between Styles of attachment to parents and peers and Depression and high risk behaviors among High school

This paper intends to investigate the relationship between Styles of attachment to parents and peers and Depression and high risk behaviors among High school of Khash city's students. The research method used in this paper has been the descriptive survey type of method. The statistical population of this research entails the entire High school of Khash city's students (4500 individuals), mentioning that 335 individuals of whom were chosen as the sample group using Simple random sampling. Research tools contain Collins and Read's questionnaire classification regarding attachment styles and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). The validity of this research is of the content validity where the reliability was measured via Cronbach's alpha coefficient for attachment styles questionnaire, risky behaviors and depression equal to 0.87, 0.83 and 0.85, respectively. Findings of this research showed an Inverse significant relationship between relationship between Styles of attachment to parents and peers and Depression among students. Further, an Inverse significant relationship between Styles of attachment to parents and peers and high risk behaviors among students was reported, where on a positive significant relationship between Depression and high risk behaviors was reported.
