چکیده :

The study investigates the adsorptive removal of neomycin, a commonly used antibiotic, using Fe3O4 nanoparticles as an efficient adsorbent. The research focuses on optimizing key parameters to achieve maximum removal efficiency while evaluating the reusability and reliability of the adsorbent. Experimental results indicate that the optimum conditions for neomycin removal are achieved at pH 6, with an adsorbent dose of 50 mg, a contact time of 10 minutes, and an initial neomycin concentration of 100 ppm in a solution volume of up to 200 mL. Under these conditions, the removal efficiency reached an impressive 98%, demonstrating the high adsorption capacity of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. Furthermore, the adsorbent exhibited good reusability, maintaining its effectiveness for up to three cycles of use. The repeatability of the experimental results, as measured by the relative standard deviation (%RSD), was 3.88%, while reproducibility showed an %RSD of 5.11%, indicating high reliability and consistency in the adsorption performance. This study highlights the potential of Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a cost-effective and efficient material for the removal of neomycin from aqueous solutions, offering a promising approach for wastewater treatment applications.
