چکیده :

The purpose of this paper is to describe the employee selection and appointment based on Quranic principles and Prophet's prescriptions pertaining to govern Islam community. The paper investigates the relevant Islamic beliefs and prophetic statements by gathering them from two main Islamic resources and explains different aspects of them. The paper offers Islamic managers a perspective of what Islam prescribes for selecting and appointing their employees and managers based on different Islamic characteristics of jobs and employees. The main part of the organizational and managerial success depends on people working in an organization. As a manager must be able to handle the organization the employees have to be capable of accomplishing their tasks too, based on the organizational goals and objectives. Therefore, selection and appointment of competent employees are the most sensitive function of a HR manager because achievement of the organizational goals and objectives will be impossible without the individuals. This paper is the first one in its type addressing the concept of selecting and appointing employees according to Islamic beliefs.
