ASSESSMENT OF PARALLEL MANAGEMENT OF TOURISM INDUSTRY IN GORGAN, IRAN

ABSTRACT Research method in this study is a combination of analytical-descriptive and methods, and its nature is practical. Required information was collected in the form of library-Gauging. The statistical population was experts of the various sectors of tourism industry. The purpose of this study was to evaluate experts’ opinion regarding the performance of two effective organizations in the management of urban tourism (Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, and the municipality of Gorgan) by using the average of parameters and utilizes similarity ideal fussy option model (Ftopsis) and according to an efficient management of tourism indexes. The results show that the performance of both organizations due to efficient management of urban tourism has been weak and very poor respectively, however, Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization has relatively better performance compared to the municipality of Gorgan.
